The Department of Mathematics at Northeastern University invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in Mathematics to start as early as Fall of 2020.
Appointments will be based on exceptional research contributions in Mathematics combined with a strong commitment and demonstrated success in teaching.
The focus of this search is on Discrete and Computational Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Random Structures, Graphs, Networks, and Topological Data Analysis. Outstanding candidates in these or synergetic areas are encouraged to apply and will be seriously considered.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the start date, strong record of research, and demonstrated evidence of excellent teaching ability. Qualified candidates should be committed to fostering diverse and inclusive environments as well as to promoting experiential learning, which are central to a Northeastern University education.
Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students and conducting an independent research program.
