This is the first announcement for the Upstate New York Topology Seminar that will take place on Saturday & Sunday, November 10 & 11, 2018, at the University at Albany, State University of New York. The Upstate New York Topology Seminar (UNYTS) started under the name Topology Day, on September 15, 2017, at the University at Buffalo, SUNY (https://www.buffalo.edu/cas/math/news-events/calendar/topology-17.html).
This weekend conference will feature plenary lectures on a broad range of topics in algebraic, geometric, and applied topology, as well as geometric group theory, given by:
Henry Adams (Colorado State University),
Julie Bergner (University of Virginia),
Ben Knudsen (Harvard University),
Elizabeth Munch (Michigan State University),
Pedro Ontaneda (Binghamton University, SUNY),
Timothy Riley (Cornell University),
Nick Salter (Columbia University),
Inna Zakharevich (Cornell University).
